Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were spacious with spots to sit and relax, overlooking the Main Street and featuring new tubs, granite, and carpet, which was nice. However, the service felt unconcerned and unprofessional at times, especially during breakfast and interactions in the hallway. The location had some charm but also encountered some unfriendly staff, which was disappointing. The dining was on the expensive side and not as inclusive as expected. Despite some drawbacks, the hotel managed to provide some old-world charm and maintain cleanliness.
The hotel is located conveniently as a hub to wine country destinations like Santa Maria and Arroyo Grande, just an hour away from Paso Robles. The rooms, though spacious and clean, had a faint smell that was off-putting, making my stay less enjoyable. The multiple courtyards were gorgeous, allowing for a pleasant post-dinner wander but encountering only two friendly front desk staff was disappointing.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms, though dingy and small with outdated decor, were quite spacious and had a lovely comfortable King bed. The service, particularly regarding the early cleaning and morning coffee assistance, was a standout, and the half refund added a nice touch. The location provided a much-needed quiet retreat, although the musty smell was a drawback. The dining experience, primarily at Fruitland Casa el Sabor, was subpar. Overall, a stay with some highs and lows.
